Poetry Doodles

I keep an assortment of magnetic poetry words on my front door, where from time to time I assemble them into poetry.  Brenda Bender lives there too, she lived on my desk when I was working fulltime, but now she and her cat “Fuzz” live on the front door with the poems.  She’s retired too.  I think she was one of the first of the Benders way back when.   I think of it as doodling with words.  Or moodling until a poem is formed.   Here are three that I especially liked.    PS. these poems are all protected by copyright!

remember
remember
eternity is one circle
      and
time is but a breeze
learn the sacred dance
       of the universe
wake be born
      explore smile laugh
embrace the present
      listen to yesterday
live every day
celebrate always
      give joy
            die in peace
                  trusting god

 the cat
the cat
a warm feline
lingers
haunting
like liquid poetry
